This week's inspirational guest Sandy Peckinpah, who lost her son to bacterial meningitis, will share how she was able to recover from this loss and become a writer. Host Nancy Solari will offer advice on how to cope with the unexpected events that life gives you.

Sandy Peckinpahlost her son to bacterial meningitis when he was 16. After coming home with a headache and fever, Sandy took her son to the doctor where he was diagnosed with the. flu. That night he passed away to to a misdiagnosed illness. After dealing with this unexpected circumstances, Sandy became a writer and published her book, How to Survive The Worst That Can Happen,  that talks about her journey in recovery.
