~ SACRAMENTO - The California Film Commission (CFC) has announced that five new television projects will be filming in California through the state's tax credit program. This is part of the California Jobs First initiative, which aims to support and promote job growth in the state's entertainment industry.
The five projects, which include a recurring series, a limited series, and three new series, are expected to generate approximately $386 million for California's economy across 438 filming days. This will directly support local businesses and provide employment opportunities for 15,869 background performers, 1,196 crew members, and 685 cast members.
Governor Gavin Newsom expressed his support for the program, stating that it not only creates jobs but also fosters creativity and economic growth in the state. He believes that by keeping jobs in California and supporting the expansion of the entertainment industry within the state, they are contributing to its overall success.

Among the projects receiving tax credits are 20th Television's legal drama "All's Fair," Faith Media Distribution's "Lot Patrol," and HBO Original Drama Series "Latitude." These productions were chosen based on their potential to bring economic benefits to California.
Colleen Bell, Director of the California Film Commission, expressed her pleasure at seeing these new projects taking advantage of California's resources and talent pool. She also highlighted the success of the Film and Television Tax Credit Program in attracting twelve new and one relocating television series to California during the first half of 2024 alone. This has created essential jobs for the industry and sustained thousands of cast and crew members' livelihoods.
