NEW YORK ~ Governor Gavin Newsom will be in New York on Sunday for Climate Week, where he will participate in the Opening Ceremony and have a discussion with David Gelles of The New York Times entitled "Approaching the Climate Crisis Differently". During this discussion, the Governor is expected to announce new climate efforts that California is taking. Following this, he will be available for questions from the press. The event will take place at 1:00 p.m. PST and can be livestreamed by registering with Climate Week NYC. Credentialed media interested in attending must RSVP to govpressoffice@gov.ca.gov by Friday, September 15 at 1:00 p.m. PST.
