Rally4Vets / DVEN Joins Face the Fight Coalition as Veteran Suicide Prevention Efforts Expand Nationwide

LOS ANGELES - Californer -- EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Rally4Vets / Disabled Veterans Empowerment Network (DVEN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to veteran community-building and suicide prevention, today announced it has been accepted as a Friend of the Face the Fight® Coalition — a national movement uniting more than 250 corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and government partners committed to ending veteran suicide.

A Coalition Built to Save Veteran Lives
Face the Fight® was founded in 2023 by USAA, the Humana Foundation, and Reach Resilience to confront the national crisis of veteran suicide through philanthropic grantmaking, public awareness, and a growing coalition of mission-aligned organizations. The initiative has set an ambitious goal: to dramatically reduce the veteran suicide rate by 2030.

More on The Californer
The scale of the crisis is staggering:
- More than 120,000 veterans have died by suicide since 2001
- The veteran suicide rate is 57% higher than the national average
- Nearly 20 veterans die by suicide every day

To date, Face the Fight has screened more than 245,000 veterans for suicide risk, delivered suicide-specific interventions to more than 40,000 veterans, and trained 30,000 people in suicide prevention skills. The coalition is projected to save 6,500 lives through 2032.
