Evening of drink, food and fun will benefit three OC nonprofits
COSTA MESA, Calif. - Californer -- Glasses will be raised in support of local nonprofits starting 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, as the Hops and Vines Beer and Wine Festival returns to Center Club Orange County in Costa Mesa for its 13th year. Tickets are now available.
As the club's signature fundraising event, Hops and Vines welcomes guests to enjoy mouth-watering morsels including a variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres, Alaskan king crab, and Spanish tapas, ready to be washed down by an assortment of world-class craft beers and wines from more than 30 award-winning wineries. All proceeds will support a trio of deserving Orange County nonprofits.
Funds from the event will support this year's selected nonprofit, Thomas House Shelter, a resource dedicated to keeping homeless families with children together. Two nonprofits that receive funds each year include Augie's Quest, in support of innovative science aimed at curing ALS, and the Employee Partners Care Foundation, which supports employees of ClubCorp clubs – such as the waiters and other staff of Center Club OC – in times of hardship.

The event is attended by many members of the Center Club, which primarily includes professional business executives in Orange County, yet it is open to the public and provides an entertaining evening along with a wonderful opportunity to donate to the three causes.
The evening also will include an exciting silent auction with eight fabulous travel packages, ranging from a Tuscany culinary escape to a Scotland championship golf experience to a classic Wrigley Field Rooftop Experience. Other items include such premium gifts as a Magic Castle experience, golf foursomes and local luxury hotel stays.
Sponsorships are still available in three tiers – Sommelier, Cicerone and Winemaker. This year's sponsors to date include: Stifel Nicolaus, Sommelier; Castle Press, SunUp Group, SmartStart Evaluation and Research, Sentinel Payments, Paul & Isabel Greenwood, Inspired Financial, Optivest Wealth Management and Bart Zandbergen, CFP, all Cicerone; Sherry and Richard Van Meter, Preferred Service Corp, Stuart and Liza Krassner, RE/MAX and Level Five Executive, all Winemaker.
Tickets are available now in single, 2-pack and 4-pack sets for $105, $190 and $340 respectively. At the door, only single tickets will be available at $125 each. For tickets and more information, visit hopsandvines.org (https://www.hopsandvines.org/) or call 714-662-3414.
