Hyperglance Now Accepts Qualifying US Federal Micro-Purchases

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- Hyperglance can now accept qualifying US Federal micro-purchases, creating a new purchasing route for eligible Federal buyers interested in its self-hosted cloud management and FinOps platform.

The Federal Micro-Purchase Threshold increased from $10,000 to $15,000 on October 1, 2025, although lower or higher thresholds apply to certain categories and circumstances. Under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), a micro-purchase is an acquisition of supplies or services using simplified acquisition procedures where the aggregate amount doesn't exceed the applicable micro-purchase threshold.

For eligible purchases, the route can reduce some of the purchasing steps associated with larger procurements. FAR 13.203 allows micro-purchases to be awarded without soliciting competitive quotations where the authorized contracting officer or purchaser considers the price reasonable.

The Governmentwide Commercial Purchase Card is the preferred method for purchasing and paying for micro-purchases under FAR 13.201. Purchasers must still be appropriately authorized and trained, and transactions remain subject to agency procedures and other applicable purchasing requirements.

For Hyperglance, the change gives eligible Federal cloud teams another potential way to access or evaluate the platform without requiring the same procurement approach as a larger software acquisition.

Hyperglance is a self-hosted, agentless cloud management and FinOps platform supporting AWS, AWS GovCloud, Azure, Azure Government, Google Cloud, and Kubernetes. It brings cloud cost management together with architecture visualization, ownership context, security and compliance checks, and governance workflows.

Its self-hosted deployment model and no call-home architecture give teams greater control over where the platform runs and how cloud data is handled. This can be particularly relevant for government and other regulated environments where operational control, data handling, and deployment architecture need close consideration.
