Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach Airport (LGB) is vying for a spot among the Top 10 Best Small Airports in the United States for 2024, and they need your help to make it happen. The airport, located in Long Beach, CA, is currently participating in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice travel award contest and is counting on the support of its community to secure a spot on the prestigious list.
According to Mayor Rex Richardson, LGB serves as the first impression for visitors to their city and prides itself on providing a relaxing experience in beautiful facilities that reflect the spirit of Long Beach. He expressed his excitement at the possibility of being recognized as one of the top small airports in the country and believes it will bring more attention to their city from travelers nationwide.
In order to make it onto the Top 10 list, LGB needs to score enough votes from its fanbase during the month-long voting period. Community members can vote daily for Long Beach Airport under the category of Best Small Airport without needing to log in. The voting period will end at noon on Monday, Sept. 23.

This nomination comes at a significant time for LGB as they recently celebrated the reopening of their Historic Terminal building and completed several improvements as part of their ongoing $125 million Phase II – Terminal Area Improvements Program.
