Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach Public Library (LBPL) has recently announced the unveiling of its newest addition, the Filipino American Cultural Heritage Collection. The collection will be housed at the Bret Harte Neighborhood Library and will be open to the public on Saturday, May 31 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
According to Mayor Rex Richardson, this collection is now one of the largest in Southern California and reflects the library's dedication to education, cultural preservation, and community empowerment. He stated, "Through this collection and event, we are honoring the deep contributions of our vibrant Filipino American community and encouraging meaningful conversations and shared experiences."
