~ Los Angeles, CA - In the wake of the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles County, Governor Gavin Newsom has announced that survivors can now apply for federal assistance. This announcement comes as the state launches a new website, CA.gov/LAfires, to provide support and resources for those affected by the disaster.
Governor Newsom expressed his commitment to supporting Californians impacted by the unprecedented fires, stating, "To the thousands of Californians who are impacted by these unprecedented fires, know that we have your back." He also thanked President Joe Biden for swiftly declaring a Major Disaster and making federal aid available to those in need.
The new website, CA.gov/LAfires, serves as a hub for information and resources from state, local, and federal government agencies. It provides details on how to apply for federal assistance and offers information in over 40 languages. The site also includes printable materials for distribution.
