Pickleball Individual Player Rating (PIPR) is now available globally, allowing pickleball players to complete a quick online assessment and receive a digital, verifiable PIPR card, with optional instructor-led evaluations.
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Californer -- Pickleball Individual Player Rating (PIPR) today announced that its skill-based rating and verification platform is now available to pickleball players and instructors worldwide.
PIPR enables players to complete a quick online assessment to establish an individual skills rating and receive a digital PIPR card. Each card includes a unique verification link that can be shared and confirmed online for leagues, open play, instruction, and tournaments.
The PIPR system focuses on individual skill, rules knowledge, and on-court competencies rather than relying solely on match outcomes. This approach is designed to reflect how a player actually performs, independent of partner performance or matchup variability common in doubles play.

Players may also choose to maintain or validate their rating through evaluations conducted by participating certified pickleball instructors using a standardized assessment framework.
"For pickleball to continue growing globally, players and instructors need a simple and consistent way to describe individual ability," said a PIPR spokesperson. "PIPR provides a shared, skills-first framework that is fast, accessible, and easy to verify anywhere in the world."
Call to Action for Instructors:
Pickleball instructors interested in expanding their services can apply to participate in the PIPR instructor program, allowing them to offer verified player evaluations, charge for official PIPR assessments, and generate ongoing revenue through standardized ratings.
PIPR is available now to players and instructors worldwide.
