SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- Rachel Farris, CPA has been nominated for CPA Practice Advisor's 40 Under 40 Award for 2024. The 40 Under 40 Awards spotlight the top practicing public accountants, educators and thought leaders who are leading their profession by visibly and incrementally changing the accounting profession.
Candidates for each award should be actively involved in advancing the profession either from within, or by supporting technologies that assist firms and professionals in their practice or client service.
Rachel Farris, CPA is known for influencing the accounting profession through her work in tax incentive compliance and investment strategy for Act 60 in Puerto Rico. She has saved individuals and families millions of dollars with her detailed knowledge of Act 60. Rachel began her career at a top tier international Big 4 accounting firm where she specialized in mergers & acquisitions. Some of her other notable accomplishments include: (i) speaking to a congressional delegation in DC about changes the IRS should implement to reach generation Z, (ii) contributing to multiple peer reviewed articles (California Tax Lawyer and Journal of Marketing Education), (iii) speaking at multiple conferences including IGNITE and TEDx, and (iv) receiving The Wire's 30 under 30 most influential women award.
