WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. - Californer -- Registration closes October 18 for families wanting to participate in the Southeast Ventura County YMCA's Adventure Guides/Y-Trailblazers programs in the Simi and Conejo valleys for the 2026-27 school year.
Organized through the Simi Valley Family YMCA and the Yarrow Family YMCA branches, YMCA Adventure Guides/Y-Trailblazers programs are for parents and their children, ages 5–11. The program runs through June 2027.
Parents and their child attend program activities together as a pair in small parent-daughter or parent-son "circles" based on age, grade and school. The program is designed to build strong relationships between parents and children through outdoor adventure activities, camping trips and monthly events. Family events are also held throughout the year.
