The groundbreaking web series that challenges stereotypes about the deaf community had it's premier in westwood. The audience was treated to a summary of the first season on screen, a Q & A with the series creators, and a red carpet reception.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Californer -- Some people sit around wishing to accomplish a dream, and others act on it. The latter is the case for Hollywood Mother-Daughter duo Shelley Meche'tte and Bree K. Jones, who created a web series on their own terms and a severely scarce budget.

Jones, a Deaf Culture Merger (one who bridges the gap between the Deaf and hearing cultures, bringing to surface the misconceptions each culture has about the other), initially desired to host workshops for influencers in the TV & Film industry about Deaf community and culture, so that Hollywood would be able to better understand this undervalued community.

After a phone conversation with a prominent Casting Director about Jones' desires, it was suggested that Jones create a web series exemplifying why it was so important to shine a light on the Deaf community. It was then that Jones' light bulb turned on. She approached her mother with the idea, and a day later, Jones and her mother Meche'tte were in development.
