IRVINE, Calif. - Californer -- xBxBio is developing a cardiac platform organized around one patient and one evolving Virtual Heart. Its purpose is to help clinicians connect findings across tests, visits, and time when developing and revisiting individualized recommendations.

The ambition reaches beyond a more detailed image of the heart: a patient-specific understanding that can be examined, updated and challenged as evidence changes.

Within the wider platform, the Virtual Heart is being developed to connect cardiac structure, electrical activity, physiological context and clinical history. Planned information sources include ECG and rhythm data, cardiac imaging, laboratory results, medications, monitoring and clinical assessments.

The intended workflow brings those findings into context while keeping observed information, calculated measurements, model-based interpretations and unknowns distinguishable. Clinicians would retain responsibility for reviewing the evidence, discussing options with patients and making care decisions.
