SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Californer -- South Sacramento glowed in shades of pink this weekend as Promise B Mae, founder of The Nyx Network and serial entrepreneur, officially opened the doors to her newest venture Baddies R Us, the all-pink luxury beauty bar redefining what community and confidence look like.
The grand opening celebration, held Saturday, October 25, drew an overwhelming 800 RSVP guests and turned Mack Road into a runway of empowerment, beauty, and business.
The highlight of the afternoon came when Sacramento City Councilwoman Mai Vang joined Promise for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, presenting her with a City of Sacramento Resolution honoring her commitment to entrepreneurship, women's empowerment, and community uplift. The crowd erupted in applause as cameras captured a defining moment for South Sacramento's newest landmark.
The event received strong media coverage from The Sacramento Observer, CBS 13 Charlotte, and FOX 40 News, each spotlighting the cultural significance of Promise's work and her mission to "bring luxury to the neighborhood."

Guests in attendance enjoyed live music, beauty services, curated food bites, and VIP gift bags stocked with products from Baddies R Us, Black Girl Vitamins, Serenity Lux Nails, and Ebony Wine & Spirits; all women-led brands that helped sponsor the celebration. The pink-carpet experience turned attendees into stars for the day, reflecting Promise's belief that every woman deserves her spotlight.
"This day was about more than beauty," Promise B Mae said. It was about legacy, showing that women can build something beautiful, successful, and community-driven right where we are."
Following the grand opening, Baddies R Us will host bi-monthly food drives and monthly community makeovers, continuing Promise's commitment to giving back. The beauty bar will also serve as a filming location for The Nyx Network, merging entrepreneurship, entertainment, and empowerment in one vibrant space.
