SAN FRANCISCO ~ The Biden Administration and China have announced a major breakthrough in their efforts to tackle the illicit manufacture and export of fentanyl from China, as well as address climate change. Governor Gavin Newsom of California issued a statement in response to the news, praising President Biden for showing that "despite our many differences, there are places we can and must work together to solve critical issues and take steps to protect our people."

The two countries account for 42 percent of the world's emissions, making it essential for them to work together in order to make progress on the climate crisis.
