Long Beach, CA ~ The City of Long Beach is looking to partner with qualified organizations to support the new Smart City Initiative program, the Long Beach Collaboratory (LB Co-Lab). The LB Co-Lab engages local Long Beach stakeholders in a collaborative community engagement process to scope and implement a pilot technology project. Participants are also taught technology skills to thrive in our "smart" economy.
Four challenge-based Requests for Proposals (RFPs) have been launched by the City, seeking to partner with a wide variety of highly skilled and innovative organizations to support the City's technological enhancements without prescribing a detailed scope of work and requirements. These RFPs are for Connectivity in the Ramona Park Neighborhood, Pedestrian Safety in the Hamilton Neighborhood, Park Utilization and Safety in the Westside Neighborhood, and Safe Streets in the Willmore Neighborhood.
