~ Sacramento, CA - Governor Gavin Newsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom have announced the 19th class of the California Hall of Fame, which includes leaders and luminaries in various fields such as athletics, civil rights, culinary arts, and entertainment. Among the notable inductees are John L. Burton, a lifelong public servant and legislator known for his fierce advocacy for civil rights, healthcare, and foster youth. Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis will also be honored for her five-decade career in film and television, as well as her humanitarian work and best-selling children's book authorship.

Olympic gold medalist Janet Evans will also join the ranks for being one of the greatest distance swimmers of all time and currently serving as Chief Athlete Officer for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Track and field legend Carl Lewis will be honored for his unmatched speed, power, and versatility that led him to nine gold medals across four Olympic Games. Mariachi Reyna de Los Ángeles will also make history as America's first all-women mariachi ensemble to be inducted into the California Hall of Fame.
Highly influential chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa, known simply as "Nobu," will be recognized for his global impact on the culinary world with his Nobu and Matsuhisa restaurants spanning five continents. Acclaimed author Terry McMillan will also be honored for her powerful storytelling that has elevated women's voices and reshaped American literature.
The 38th Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame for his remarkable journey from humble beginnings to becoming a world champion bodybuilder, Hollywood icon, successful businessman, environmentalist, philanthropist, and bestselling author.
