CHICAGO, April 24, 2025 ~ Havas Chicago has recently announced the appointment of Frank Dattalo as their new Chief Creative Officer. This decision comes as the agency aims to redefine its creative approach and blend strategic brand-building expertise with culturally driven, modern work that breaks through.
Dattalo brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as EVP and Executive Creative Director at Cashmere Agency in Los Angeles. He is well-known for his culturally impactful campaigns, including the highly successful collaboration with Kraft Heinz titled "MUSTAAAAAAAAAARD" and Budweiser's "The B.I.G. Drop," which paid tribute to Notorious B.I.G. and celebrated Hip-Hop's 50th anniversary.
His impressive career also includes leading creative roles at Apple, R/GA (where he oversaw Nike), Critical Mass LA, and Deutsch LA. Dattalo's journey in the advertising industry began in Chicago at Energy BBDO, where he developed iconic campaigns such as Orbit Gum's "Dirty Mouth" and 5 Gum's "Stimulate Your Senses." These campaigns have recently experienced a resurgence as popular memes on TikTok. His work has been recognized at top global award shows such as Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Webby Awards, Shorty Awards, Effies, and Clios.

Reflecting on his return to Chicago, Dattalo expressed his excitement about coming back to the city where he started his career: "It's a full-circle moment – reuniting with the city that raised both me and my career. It's a privilege to contribute to the legacy of this vibrant creative community and collaborate with Kat and Chase, two legends I deeply admire, as we position Havas Chicago as a globally elite creative force."
Kat Ott, President of Havas Chicago, also shared her enthusiasm for Dattalo joining their team: "Frank's passion for fostering a culture where diverse, ambitious talent can take big swings aligns perfectly with our vision. Together, we'll create undeniable work that fuels the feeds, drives fame, and impacts real change."
Under the leadership of Ott, Chief Strategy Officer Chase Cornett, and now Dattalo, Havas Chicago is embracing a unique "high-low" creative approach. This approach combines the strategic rigor of a big agency with the cultural fluency, speed, and agility of a boutique feed-first shop. With this new team in place, Havas Chicago is poised to make a significant impact in the advertising world and continue to produce groundbreaking work for their clients.
