LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Every seat was filled as Veronica Mars star Jason Dohring took the floor at Barnes & Noble Fullerton on Friday night, October 24. Known for his charismatic screen presence, Dohring appeared in a different light—honest, grounded and refreshingly real—as he shared the story of how one book helped him redefine his view of himself and unlock lasting confidence.
In a raw and revealing conversation, Dohring spoke about the inner doubts that once held him back and the breakthrough that changed it all. He shared how reading Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard gave him practical tools to understand his mind, confront nervousness at auditions and dissolve the fears that once limited his potential. Having navigated both the pressures of early fame and the pressures of long-term success, he spoke candidly about the inner work required to stay centered, creative and unafraid of others' opinions in an industry defined by constant evaluation.
"Once I realized that I didn't have to be controlled by my own doubts—that I could actually understand and handle what was behind them—it changed everything," Dohring told the crowd.
