Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is once again offering its popular Winter Fun Days program for local youth ages 5 through 12. This free extended supervised recreation program, organized by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM), aims to provide a fun and safe environment for children during the winter school break.
From December 22 to December 26, 2025 (excluding Christmas Day) and from December 29 to January 2, 2026 (excluding New Year's Day), children can participate in a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, and holiday celebrations. The program will run from noon to 5 p.m. at 19 different parks throughout Long Beach.

According to Heidi Mazas, Recreation Superintendent at PRM, Winter Fun Days is a drop-in program where children can come and go as they please under the supervision of PRM staff. Pre-registration is required and will be available at participating park sites starting on December 8 from noon to 5 p.m.
Interested parents can find more information about the program on the Winter Fun Days webpage. The webpage includes a complete list of participating locations as well as park phone numbers for any inquiries.
