Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The City of Long Beach is excited to announce the opening of the popular inflatable "Wibit" aquatic playgrounds at Alamitos Beach and Bay Shore Avenue on Friday, June 14, 2024. These waterplay structures will offer residents and visitors free, family-friendly fun and active water play all summer long until Monday, Sept. 2.
According to Mayor Rex Richardson, these aquatic playgrounds have been a hit with families and have enhanced recreation at the City's beaches. "I am thrilled to welcome back Long Beach's Wibit playgrounds this year and provide our residents with free and enjoyable water activities over the summer," he said.
The Alamitos Beach Wibit is located south of Ocean Boulevard and east of Shoreline Drive. It features multiple floating play structures such as springboards, bouncers, monkey bars, and other elements that encourage water play. The Bay Shore Avenue Wibit, located at 5415 East Ocean Blvd., includes multiple climbing structures, bouncers, and domes.
