LOS ANGELES, June 20, 2024 ~ Mercury Insurance, a leading insurance company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: MCY), has announced its partnership with the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre (NICUA) in San Diego to enhance the summer concert experience for music lovers. As a longtime supporter of live music, Mercury Insurance is excited to offer more than just music at NICUA concerts, with fan experiences designed to engage both the eyes and ears.
Erik Thompson, Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Mercury Insurance, expressed his enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating, "Seeing your favorite artist perform live is an incredible experience, and we wanted to make each show a night to remember for Mercury customers and music fans from all walks of life. We have created some amazing experiences that will help San Diego music lovers create unforgettable memories with their family and friends this summer."
One of the key features of this sponsorship is an art installation by renowned muralist Nigel Sussman. The 75-foot mural, located on the upper concourse behind the Mercury Insurance Sunset Deck, combines iconic San Diego landmarks with elements of music and whimsical characters that will delight fans of all ages. Thompson praised Sussman's work, saying, "Nigel has created an amazing piece of art. I believe concertgoers will have a lot of fun trying to identify references to 21 songs that he incorporated into the mural."

He has previously collaborated with notable companies such as Google, eBay, and Adidas. Additionally, he worked on the successful "Where's Bailey" project in partnership with Mercury Insurance and the Los Angeles Kings.
