CAMPBELL, Calif. - Californer -- Paul Mayo has honed his craft as a music maker for the last 20 years. Recently his single "Wonderfool" impressed the staff at Big Fuss Records and Paul was invited and selected as an Artist to Watch in 2020.
Paul Mayo started out as a session vocalist for Shire Music in the 1990's. In 2003 he made the final 26 in the second series of BBCs Fame Academy based on the strength of his vocals and writing skill and has gone on to pen tracks for feature films and TV commercials. He has multi track publishing deals and has been linked to several projects that have gone on to receive recording contracts from POLYDOR, TELSTAR as well as several indie labels.
He has worked with the likes of Adamski, Nik Kershaw, NJOI, Alexander ONeill, PJ Proby and Geoff Morrow, the writer behind the Carpenters hit Can't Smile Without you and album tracks for Elvis Presley, as both performer and session singer.

Paul Mayo is lead vocalist and co-writer for New Wave band AustenEx who are unique in the sense that the group is made up of artists located around the globe. AustenEx were signed to Pink Dolphin Records and have seen remixes released by 21 Street and Yobbi Ananta.
Paul has also written songs for charity albums that have benefited African orphanages, SMILE cleft palate charity and Make a Wish Foundation and raised awareness for Autism and other Invisible illnesses.
His Youtube channel has amassed 700,000+ hits and he has co-written tracks for a rising UK Grime artist who has recorded tracks with Davinche and Professor Green, and also for an upcoming female artist who is already creating a buzz with top industry professionals.
