When we say mariachi, charro suits, tequila, and Jalisco come to mind. However, in southern Zacatecas lies the town of Nochistlán, which was recently named the most musical of Mexico's pueblos mágicos (magical towns). It is precisely in this colonial town that Mariachi México Lindo was born. Founded in 2018, the group aims to preserve traditional Mexican music while simultaneously bringing a fresh, modern touch to the genre. Mariachi México Lindo represents the evolution of the jaraberos, a term used to describe traditional mariachis in this region during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Despite its short history, the group has already performed at some of Mexico's most iconic palenques, including those in Aguascalientes, Tepic, León, and Texcoco. They have also performed in Morelia and Puebla, the Calderón and López Velarde theaters in Zacatecas, and the Auditorio Telmex in Guadalajara alongside singer Pancho Barraza.

Roberto Díaz Pérez, Mariachi México Lindo's director and founder, has contributed to the soundtracks of Hollywood films such as Beverly Hills Chihuahua (1 and 3), Rango, No Strings Attached, and McFarland. He was also nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2013.

Combining experience with fresh talent, Mariachi México Lindo aspires to become one of the genre's most representative groups, both in Mexico and around the world.
