Agromin and City of Santa Clarita Announce Free Compost Giveaway Program
The Californer/10359394

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Californer -- Santa Clarita residents can receive free compost through a partnership between the City of Santa Clarita and Agromin, California's largest organics recycler.

Through May 31, 2027 (or while supplies last), residents within the city can order Agromin's 1 cubic foot bagged organic compost.

The program is a way to give back to the community while helping to meet Senate Bill 1383 regulations, which require jurisdictions to keep organic waste out of landfills to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Organic recyclers like Agromin process the collected green materials into compost to give away to residents, for use on city property and to distribute on farms and rangeland.
