San Jose: 2020 Safe Summer Initiative Grant Application and Workshop

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services' Safe Summer Initiative Grant (SSIG) is now accepting applications for its annual funding cycle which takes place from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2020. The Department encourages applications from non-profit organizations, governmental entities and faith-based organizations who encourage healthy play and nurture positive relationships through youth programs and activities in areas with gang activity and violence. Applicants are invited to the SSIG application workshop on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, 10 a.m. at Hank Lopez Community Center. Applications are due on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2020 by 4:00 p.m. via WebGrants.  For more information, contact Avi Yotam, PRNS Division Manager, at 408-535-3573.
