SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Californer -- Press Release Draft
SecureConf Announces Fully Brandable Web Conferencing Platform Modernized from Flash to WebRTC with OpenAI Codex
Santa Barbara, California - SecureConf, a private-label web conferencing software company, announced today that its legacy Flash-based web conferencing platform has been successfully modernized into a browser-based WebRTC application with the assistance of OpenAI Codex.
SecureConf was originally built to let service providers, SaaS companies, telecom companies, and resellers offer web conferencing under their own brand. The updated platform now supports browser-based meetings, webcams, screen sharing, whiteboard tools, file and media sharing, attendee and moderator controls, meeting reports, branded trials, and optional email two-factor authentication by meeting room.
The modernization was completed in roughly one month by SecureConf founder Herb Levitin, a 76-year-old non-programmer, working with Codex as an AI engineering partner.
"I wanted to see whether AI was now capable of helping modernize a real legacy software product, not just write small code examples," said Herb Levitin, President of SecureConf. "Codex helped me work through old PHP, Apache, WebRTC, LiveKit, browser compatibility, iPhone Safari issues, audio and video synchronization, SSL, deployment paths, and many legacy behaviors that had to be preserved. The result is far beyond what I expected."
More on The Californer
SecureConf is designed for companies that want to offer conferencing as their own branded service rather than sending customers to a third-party meeting platform. Each customer can have a branded conferencing destination, with control over the user experience, meeting rooms, recordings, and account structure.
The company believes the platform may be especially relevant to telecom providers, SaaS companies, managed service providers, and private-label software companies looking for new recurring revenue opportunities.
SecureConf also allows prospects to test both a free trial and a fully branded trial site through its public website.
