Beyond the Cars: Impact & Influence Magazine Takes to Monterey Bay

MONTEREY, Calif. - Californer -- For Jon Robert Quinn and the Impact & Influence team, Monterey Car Week has always been about more than automobiles. It is about luxury, success, relationships and the opportunity to experience extraordinary moments with an extraordinary community.

As Day Two of the annual Awepra Grand Tour continued, Quinn and members of the Impact & Influence team stepped away from the cars and onto the waters of Monterey Bay for a whale-watching experience with Chris' Whale Watching.

The excursion delivered exactly the kind of experience the Impact & Influence brand is built around, with the group witnessing both humpback whales and blue whales in their natural environment.

"Monterey Car Week is obviously about incredible automobiles, but Monterey is so much more than cars," said Jon Robert Quinn. "Getting out on the water together and seeing humpback and blue whales was an incredible experience. These are the moments that you remember, and being able to experience them with our community makes them even more meaningful."

Blue whales are the largest animals known to have ever lived on Earth, reaching lengths of more than 80 feet. Despite their enormous size, they primarily feed on tiny krill. Humpback whales can reach approximately 60 feet and are known for spectacular behaviors including breaching, tail slapping and surface feeding.

Monterey Bay is one of the world's premier marine environments, supported in part by its deep submarine canyon and nutrient-rich waters. The Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary provides habitat for an extraordinary variety of marine life and makes the region a destination for wildlife enthusiasts from around the world.

For Impact & Influence, the whale-watching excursion represented something larger than simply another activity on the Monterey itinerary.
