Waldorf School of the Peninsula is hosting its 34th annual Holiday Faire from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturday, December 7, 2019 on its Los Altos campus located at 11311 Mora Drive.
LOS ALTOS HILLS, Calif. - Californer -- The annual WSP Holiday Faire offers a festive, nourishing, and gentle alternative to the usual holiday experience for families, couples, and all other members of our neighborhood and community. The Faire features a variety of hands-on activities for people of all ages, including dipping beeswax candles, making wreaths using fresh greenery, and handcrafting small treasures, not to mention a chance to shop at one of the largest and most beautiful holiday boutiques in the area.
Onsite workshops for children and mature crafters offer opportunities to create gifts such as homemade jump ropes and tea candle lanterns. The day will also feature old-fashioned games of skill for younger children, such as Treasure Mountain, Leap of Faith, Troll Bridge, and Catapult Castle. Every game ends with a small, nature-inspired treasure as a prize.

The Russian Tea Room returns this year, where the serenity of the season dwells and lingers supported by live, acoustic music, hot tea, and sweet treats. Our very popular silk marionette fairy tale puppet show returns this year with "The Elves and the Shoemaker" and will be performed several times during the day, in addition to "The Snow Maiden" - a new puppet show for very young children. Our signature offering – the Gnome Adventure – gives the young and young at heart the chance to crawl through a peaceful, magical wonderland featuring beautifully crafted vignettes of gnomes celebrating each of the four seasons, rendered with natural materials that nourish eyes and hearts. At the end of the journey, each child receives a small gem to remind them of the magical journey they enjoyed.
WSP's celebrated Holiday Boutique gift store will feature over 10,000 handmade and unique items for sale, including European wooden toys, candles, knit scarves, elegant shawls, children's books, parenting and craft books, yarn and knitting materials, natural arts and craft supplies, dolls, and rich essential oils and lotions.
