Screening of the romantic comedy – "A Marte" Plus a special concert by Spaghetti Cumbia, a psychedelic cumbia fusion

LOS ANGELES - Californer -- The largest Mexican film festival in the United States, the Hola México Film Festival presented by Toyota All-Electric Family," wraps up its 18^th annual edition on October 3, 2026 with the screening of the film "A Marte".

"A Marte" is much more than a romantic comedy! It features Cassandra Sanchez Navarro, Mexico's biggest box office success of her generation (Mirreyes VS Godinez, Cindy La Regia), alongside an all-star cast including Jesus Zavala (Club De Cuervos) and Jose Maria De Tavira (Arrancame La Vida). The story follows an eccentric comic book creator who channels his fictional superhero to protect a famous telenovela star in danger. Directed by Roberto Girault (El Estudiante, Los Arboles Mueren De Pie, Contigo En El Futuro).

This unforgettable night features a special concert performance by Spaghetti Cumbia, a psychedelic fusion of cumbia rhythms and spaghetti western vibes. Spaghetti Cumbia delivers cinematic grooves with a Latin twist, blending vintage surf, tropical beats, and funky brass. This is Spaghetti Cumbia's second performance with the Hola Mexico Film Festival having first entertained attendees as last year's festival. Says Hola Mexico Film Festival founder and director Samuel Douek - "We had so much fun with Spaghetti Cumbia last year, we simply had to invite them back to play at Closing Night and be the festival's cherry on top."

The festival comprises the following sections: México Ahora, Documental, Hola Niños, and Nocturno. México Ahora features the best of Mexican films released in recent years, covering every genre. Documental includes notable non-fiction films made by Mexican filmmakers. Hola Niños features films for the entire family. The Nocturno section offers offbeat stories and horror films.

Samuel Douek, Founder & Director of the HMFF earned his bachelor's degree in marketing from Mexico City's Anahuac University and his master's degree in Event Management in Sydney, Australia, where he founded Hola Mexico Film Festival.
