RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. - Californer -- Phillip Eugene Walker's sixtieth short film tells the story of his more than a half century of artistic activism.
Exploring his still burning activist fire being first fueled by the 1865 freeing of his American former slave great-great grandfather Allen Brown, to Phillip's embers being stocked by Dr. Carter G. Woodson's 1926 Negro History Week creation, through the youth's eternal flame ignition during PhilE's (stage name) Chicago, IL1968 Morgan Park High School all campus assembly "I Have A Dream" speech, delivered on the morning after Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, this petite motion picture displays the history and path that will allow Mr. Walker to successfully arrive at Black History Month 2022.
