RICHMOND, Calif. - Californer -- Alten Construction (https://www.altenconstruction.com/), a full-service San Francisco Bay Area commercial construction company, recently announced it has promoted long-term employee Noel Stenberg to vice president of project management from senior project manager.
Stenberg started his career in construction working for a general contractor, performing estimating and construction management tasks. For 11 years prior to joining Alten Construction, he worked for the University of California, Berkeley, in the Capital Projects Department.
Hired by Alten Construction in 2010, he has spent his 16-year tenure supervising all construction activities of assigned projects from start to finish, developing a baseline schedule and maintaining the construction schedule throughout the project, administering all aspects of the subcontracting process, and producing and submitting documents accurately, among other tasks.
In his new role, Stenberg will continue his current duties of senior project manager, with additional added responsibilities, including being available for other staff project managers for consultation and advice.

"Noel has been an integral part of our company's success," said Bob Alten, co-owner of Alten Construction. "He has earned the trust of our clients and team through years of hard work and has an unwavering commitment to doing things the right way. Noel brings a level of thoughtfulness and accountability to every challenge, and he is a tremendous asset to our team."
Notable builds he has been a part of include the Lake Elementary School campus replacement project, a $57.1 million design-build endeavor. The project included a phased demolition and complete campus reconstruction, including six new buildings and seven acres of site improvements and landscaping.
He was also part of the Dr. David Wain Coon Center for Student Success at the College of Marin, Alten Construction's largest project to date. This $86 million lease-leaseback project consisted of design-assist preconstruction services, phased demolition and the construction of a new library learning center on an occupied campus.
Stenberg has his associate degree from Santa Rosa Junior College and studied architecture at the Phoenix Institute of Technology.
