Platform enhances supplier engagement, mitigates supply chain risk, and helps protect market access
OTTAWA, Ontario - Californer -- Assent Inc., the leader in supply chain sustainability management, has announced its new EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) solution. This purpose-built software is designed to help manufacturers struggling to document and report on urgent EUDR regulation compliance, ahead of the December 30, 2025 deadline. It effectively meets the unique needs of manufacturers navigating complex, multi-tier supply chains for full EUDR readiness.
The EUDR requires companies to prove that products entering the EU are deforestation-free, legally produced, and traceable to the plot of land where raw materials — such as rubber, wood, soy, or cocoa — were harvested. Due diligence statements are required by the end of 2025 for companies classified as large or medium, meaning manufacturers face a tight timeline, limited supplier visibility, and increasing pressure from regulators and customers alike. Companies that do not meet requirements may lose market access in the EU, and face fines of up to 4 percent of their European revenue.

Assent's EUDR solution combines an AI-enhanced software platform with built-in regulatory expertise to help manufacturers assess their exposure, engage hard-to-reach suppliers in multiple languages, and collect the verified data required for compliance. With the addition of the EUDR solution, Assent continues to expand its product sustainability capabilities, helping manufacturers gain control over the materials and processes behind their products. The solution supports due diligence statement generation, full audit readiness, and proactive risk mitigation — all within a centralized system integrated with the Assent platform.
"Assent is uniquely positioned to solve the scale and complexity challenges of EUDR compliance with our purpose-built software for manufacturers sourcing complex assemblies with indirect commodity risk," said Catherine Cormier, Chief Product Officer at Assent. "Our EUDR software builds on Assent's core strengths, including advanced technology like AI, a proven supplier engagement model, and deep regulatory expertise.. With this product launch, we are continuing to help manufacturers reduce operational risk and build stronger, more transparent supply chains that stand up to regulatory and partner scrutiny."
Assent provides a centralized platform to manage multiple regulatory topics for manufacturers, with frequent updates to address emerging sustainability issues, such as the EU Battery Regulation Solution and the enhanced Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism Solution.
