DENVER, Jan. 30, 2025 ~ As the wildfires in Los Angeles continue to ravage communities and displace families, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has stepped up to support those affected through their Love for LA Initiative. This initiative aims to turn a simple cup of coffee into tangible action and aid for the victims and first responders.
At the heart of this campaign is the spirit of Aloha, a value deeply ingrained in the company's culture. Bad Ass Coffee is committed to caring for one another and their community, and they are determined to make a difference in the wake of this tragedy. Through their Love for LA campaign, they are not only raising critical funds but also spreading compassion and Aloha to those in need.
Scott Snyder, CEO of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, expressed his sadness over the devastation caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles. He also shared that this tragedy hits close to home for their brand and franchisees, as they experienced similar devastation during the Maui fires in 2019. However, through their Love for Maui initiative, they were able to make a significant impact, and they hope to do the same with Love for LA.

There are several ways for people to join Bad Ass Coffee's efforts in supporting California fire relief. Customers can purchase exclusive merchandise such as the Love for LA mug and sticker, with proceeds going directly towards wildfire relief. Additionally, from January 30th to February 11th, 15% of all coffee sales will be donated towards aiding victims and first responders. Customers can also choose to round up their purchases at checkout or donate directly through the company's website.
All funds raised through this campaign will benefit two nonprofit organizations dedicated to wildfire relief: California Fire Foundation and Direct Relief. The California Fire Foundation provides emergency financial assistance, shelter, and essential support to those impacted by wildfires. Direct Relief supplies life-saving resources, medical aid, and protective equipment to affected communities and first responders.

This initiative is inspired by Bad Ass Coffee's previous Love for Maui campaign, which raised over $80,000 to aid in recovery efforts after the 2019 wildfires in West Maui. Both initiatives are part of the company's philanthropic arm, Bad Ass for Good, which aims to turn compassion into action.
Since its establishment in 1989 on the Big Island of Hawaii, Bad Ass Coffee has been more than just a purveyor of premium Hawaiian-grown coffee. It is also about spreading warmth and care through the Aloha Spirit. The company believes that community and kindness are just as important as the coffee they serve.
