IRVINE, Calif. - Californer -- IRVINE, Calif. — Internationally acclaimed sacred dancer, spiritual embodiment teacher, and award-winning author Banafsheh Sayyad will host a special talk and book signing for Dance of Oneness: Embody Love & Luminosity to Transform Your Life on Sunday, October 18, 2026, from 2:00–4:00 PM Pacific Time at NIPOC in Irvine, California. The afternoon will also feature her father, legendary Iranian filmmaker, actor, and writer Parviz Sayyad.
The event will bring together conversation, connection, and an exploration of the teachings behind Dance of Oneness. In this interactive guide to embodied spirituality, Banafsheh shares how sacred dance and conscious movement can become pathways to healing, transformation, joyful liberation, and a more vibrant and connected life.
Drawing on Sufi and Taoist wisdom, Divine Feminine teachings, Rumi's mystical poetry, and her personal journey from exile to embodied healing, Banafsheh invites readers to rediscover the body as a sacred portal to presence, vitality, love, and joy.

Joining Banafsheh for this special gathering is her father, Parviz Sayyad, a celebrated figure in Iranian cinema, theater, and television. An actor, filmmaker, writer, and director, Sayyad is especially recognized for creating and portraying Samad, one of the most iconic characters in Iranian popular culture.
The father-daughter gathering offers members of the Persian community and the wider public a unique opportunity to connect with two generations of Iranian artists whose creative work has reached audiences through film, performance, storytelling, movement, and cultural expression.
Guests will have the opportunity to hear Banafsheh discuss the inspiration and journey behind Dance of Oneness, engage in conversation, and have copies of the book signed.
