LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Cal State LA continues to soar as one of the nation's top regional universities in the U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings.
Cal State LA ranks 21st among all private and public regional universities in the western United States, rising three spots from the previous year, according to the 2024 rankings recently released.
During the past ten years, Cal State LA has jumped 75 spots among all private and public regional universities in the West.
Cal State LA ranks 9th among top public regional universities in the West. The university is once again listed among the Top Performers on Social Mobility and one of the Best Value Schools.

"Cal State LA's continued ascent in the rankings reflects our commitment to our students' success," said Interim President Leroy M. Morishita. "Our dedicated faculty and staff play a central role in creating an environment where students thrive."
U.S. News & World Report relies on key measurements to develop its rankings. These include graduation rates, financial resources, first-year retention rates, and student-faculty ratio, areas in which Cal State LA continues to achieve significant success.
