DENVER - Californer -- Care on Location, a Denver based telemedicine company connecting patients to care through telehealth solutions introduces the Mobile Telemedicine Examination Kit (MobilTEK) backpack that leverages Acumentrics, Inc. portable power solutions to link Denver's homeless with care providers.
Many on the streets of Denver have barriers preventing them from going to the Doctor's office. Now, through the use of the MobilTEK backpack, the street outreach program at Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is enabling nurses to connect doctors in the office to patients on the street.
The MobilTEK backpack is a multi-component ruggedized kit easily carried on the back that is deployed in seconds. With telescoping legs and quick detach telemedicine kit, users can set up a complete telemedicine connection in seconds. Components such as the touch screen tablet, ear/throat/skin camera, digital stethoscope and more give the doctor back at the clinic all the information they need to examine and diagnose patients anywhere.

The integrated USB hub operates medical devices and provides bidirectional communication with the tablet.
Vice President for Integrated Health Services Andrew Grimm at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless said, "The Coalition is excited to partner with Care on Location to use the MobilTEK backpack to meet individuals experiencing homelessness where they are at and deliver care they may not otherwise receive."
Acumentrics Director of Business Development Matt Kosakowski said, "It is an honor to support this noteworthy work that delivers much needed medical care to the homeless. Pack-Power™ helps ensure MobilTEK patient treatment continues regardless of circumstances."
