SAN DIEGO - Californer -- Palomar Mountain, CA – Sequoia Sentinels, a local 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to the planting, conservation, and restoration of sequoia groves, is excited to announce their upcoming spring sequoia tree planting event! The event will be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21 on Palomar Mountain, California.

Thanks to the incredible enthusiasm of 25 local residents who have already signed up, Sequoia Sentinels is aiming to plant approximately 150 sequoia trees over the two-day event. This is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together, give back to the environment, and help beautify Palomar Mountain.

"Sequoia trees are truly awe-inspiring giants," says Jim Hamerly, founder of Sequoia Sentinels. "Planting these majestic trees not only helps restore our local ecosystem but also provides a legacy for future generations to enjoy. We're thrilled to see such a strong interest from the community and can't wait to get our hands dirty together."

Sequoia Sentinels can provide necessary tools and instruction for planting. Light refreshments may also be available. Participants are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
