LOS ANGELES - Californer -- Crypto Corner Shop, a global crypto powered marketplace built by an Afghan refugee who taught himself to code, is preparing to launch its full version in the coming weeks. The beta version is already live and available to the public.
The marketplace was created by Leon, a self taught developer who wrote more than 42,000 files of code while living through blackouts, unstable internet, and ongoing hardship. He built every system from scratch, including non custodial escrow, walletless checkout, AI powered moderation, and multi coin support for more than 150 cryptocurrencies.
The project began during the collapse of Afghanistan's banking system, when millions lost access to their savings overnight. Withdrawals were blocked. Banks ran out of cash. Salaries stopped. Families waited in lines for days, unable to withdraw even small amounts. Witnessing this, Leon began writing the first lines of Crypto Corner Shop's code. He worked while explosions sounded in the distance, through nights filled with gunfire, sirens, and sudden electrical outages.

Leon built Crypto Corner Shop because he lived through a system where ordinary people lost everything when banks failed. He built it for people without bank accounts, for those cut off from global commerce, and for merchants who want to sell worldwide without relying on centralized platforms. "I wanted to create something anyone can use, no matter where they live or what limitations they face," Leon said.
Crypto Corner Shop allows sellers to list physical or digital products and accept payments directly in cryptocurrency. Buyers can check out using Bitcoin, Litecoin, DigiByte, Monero, Solana, BNB, Nano, eCash, and more. AI powered tools assist sellers with product creation and moderation, and the platform uses a private, walletless checkout system with built in ratings for trust and safety.
The full version is nearly complete, and the final build is in preparation for release. Crypto Corner Shop invites global merchants, creators, and service providers to join one of the first crypto first marketplaces built entirely by a single developer working under extreme conditions.
