SAN DIEGO, June 20, 2024 ~ Enlyte Launches PrecisionDirect to Streamline Provider Negotiations and Improve Payment Accuracy for Auto Carriers
Enlyte, a leading provider of cost containment solutions for the insurance industry, has announced the launch of PrecisionDirect. This new integrated provider negotiations and networks solution aims to simplify the claims settlement process for busy adjusters while also securing savings on bodily injury claims.
According to Enlyte, adjusters often struggle with the time and experience needed to negotiate and pay providers directly on bodily injury claims. With PrecisionDirect, they can now focus on settling claims while leaving the negotiation process to Enlyte's team of experts.
The purpose of PrecisionDirect is to help auto carriers improve payment accuracy on bills that are typically paid in full to providers treating injured parties. By leveraging two methods of cost containment - the breadth of Coventry's network and the expertise of negotiators - Enlyte is able to facilitate fair and accurate bill payments.
Traditionally, adjusters wait until the injured party has completed medical treatment and gathered their bills and records before negotiating a settlement. This process can be time-consuming and often leads to paying full amounts, including general and special damages.

With PrecisionDirect, adjusters can now send unpaid medical bills directly to Enlyte's negotiations team through user-friendly ingress points. The team then initiates strategic negotiations with medical providers or their staff using data-enhanced techniques. This includes contacting providers directly to obtain contracted discounts on bills and utilizing a database to determine fair rates based on previous agreements.
If a negotiation is accepted, Enlyte works with the provider to execute a signed agreement outlining the agreed-upon amount and terms. "Negotiating medical bills of injured parties is a challenging part of an adjuster's job," said Steve Laudermilch, executive vice president and general manager of casualty solutions at Enlyte. "PrecisionDirect takes that task off their desk by combining technology and expertise to reach agreements with medical providers on behalf of carriers."
Laudermilch also highlighted the benefits of PrecisionDirect for carriers, stating that they can confidently settle provider payments knowing they are backed by direct auto contracts or signed negotiation agreements. This not only improves payment accuracy but also increases adjuster efficiency. Additionally, PrecisionDirect integrates with other bodily injury liability solutions to further streamline workflows.
