#VolleyStrong Movement Brings Welcome Relief to Volleyball Community Families
ST. LOUIS - Californer -- Today All Volleyball proudly announces the first two recipients of the #VolleyStrong fundraising campaign. The two heroes, each nominated by their wives, are frontline workers against the COVID-19 pandemic. Todd Unger is the director of food services for Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, Idaho. Marc Sandoval is the captain at a fire station in Houston, Texas.
All Volleyball Inc. is finding a way to give back to people and families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The #VolleyStrong campaign is funded by a percentage of the sales from the #VolleyStrong line of merchandise available on the All Volleyball website. All Volleyball Inc. sent $500 via PayPal to each of the recipients as a thank you for the vital work they are doing and the sacrifices they and their families are making during these troubling times.
"The idea is simple, but it's a big idea," said Corey Lawson, president of All Volleyball, Inc. "We are creating a movement within the volleyball community to take care of the volleyball community. Our heartfelt thanks go to all of the people going above and beyond to serve others during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are happy to recognize Todd Unger and Marc Sandoval as heroes."

Anyone may nominate someone they know and love in the volleyball community (coach, parent, teammate, official, etc) who is either working in an essential service such as healthcare, grocery or delivery or is sacrificially giving of their time to assist in a volunteer capacity like a food bank or clinic. The next recipients will be announced on May 28, 2020.
Lana Unger nominated her husband Todd Unger who works as the director of food services at the local hospital in Idaho. Below is her nomination:
"My hero is my hubby. He is an essential worker as the director of food services at our local hospital. He is one of the unsung heroes taking care of all of the medical staff that are on the front line. In his spare time he spends a lot of time supporting our volleyball playing daughters. We have been volleyball parents for over 10 years!"
