New Children's Book Launch to Boost Kindness and Mental Health

SAN JOSE, Calif. - Californer -- Author and Former NFL Raiders Team Chaplain Adam Ybarra today announced his new book. "Alex The Hippo - Kindness and Mental Health," will be released on July 14. The colorful illustrative story speaks to the power of kindness to help others when going through tough times.

"My hope is that 'Alex The Hippo - Kindness & Mental Health' will boost our youngest children to think good, feel good and do good," said Ybarra. "The book fills the heart with strength to cope with stresses of life, no matter what a day brings."

As a Chaplain to professional athletes, it's an amazing platform athletes have within society and culture. "I'm thankful of athletes speaking up about mental health." Over the past few years, high-profile athletes have shined a light on mental health, who are shattering the stigma of silence. As a means to show my gratitude, I dedicated Alex The Hippo - Kindness and Mental Health to Stephen Curry, Kevin Love, Simone Biles, DeMar DeRozan, and Naomi Osaka.
