LAKE FOREST, Calif. - Californer -- A Fuddruckers located on El Toro Road in Lake Forest, California has closed and must liquidate all inventory. The liquidation will take place via an online auction hosted by Cal Auctions, a Southern California-based auction house specializing in online auctions. This online-only auction starts closing on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.
Founded in 1979 by Philip J. Romano, Freddie Fuddruckers was a restaurant chain that was well-known for their huge hamburgers made with fresh ingredients. Romano later left the chain to start Romano's Macaroni Grill.
Around 15 Fuddruckers locations closed in 2019. Luby's, Inc., the parent company of Fuddruckers, recently announced that it would be closing all of its Southern California locations including the Lake Forest location.

Buyers have already begun placing bids on items in the Fuddruckers Burger Joint online auction. All items started at $0.00 and there are no reserve prices. This means that each lot will be sold regardless of price.
There will be no preview or inspection for this online-only auction. Interested buyers can view all items that are available on the Cal Auctions website at http://www.calauctions.com.
