LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Schall Law Firm, a national shareholder rights litigation firm, announces that it is investigating claims on behalf of investors of Centessa Pharmaceuticals plc ("Centessa" or "the Company") (NASDAQ: CNTA) for violations of the securities laws.
The investigation focuses on whether the Company issued false and/or misleading statements and/or failed to disclose information pertinent to investors. Centessa issued a press release on August 10, 2022, "announc[ing] its decision to discontinue development of ZF874 following a recent report of an adverse event (AE) involving elevated liver enzymes (AST/ALT) in a PiMZ subject dosed with 5 mg/kg BID of ZF874 in the Phase 1 study." The Company added that "based on the results observed to date, the Company concluded that ZF874 was unlikely to achieve the desired target product profile." Based on this news, shares of Centessa fell by 5% on the same day.
