HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Californer -- A Milestone for JCFilms

I grew up in a very fundamentalist Southern Baptist home where television was limited and movies were forbidden. I grew up believing Hollywood was evil. Later in life on the rare occasion I visited Los Angeles, I figured all the Christians were in hiding.

I was wrong. With the rapid growth of our JCFilm's Production Clubs across America, we caught the attention of several working Christian actors in Hollywood. I am so excited to announce the creation of a JCFilms Production Club in Hollywood, California!

As this was unfolding, I was reminded of how an unknown and young energetic preacher came to Hollywood in 1949 to preach several revival meetings. That didn't happen. Instead, God used Billy Graham to preach sixty-five sermons every night for over eight weeks to a cumulative an audience of 350,000 people. Revival broke out in Hollywood. That's our goal with our Hollywood Production Club!

Patricia Prata is a Christian actress and award-winning producer that will be leading this mission. Patricia and her husband have a passion to create more faith and family films in Hollywood. She recently reminded me that there are a lot of talented people in Hollywood who take their faith seriously, and her goal is connecting them together to create more faith films.

This club is so important because Hollywood is the film capital of the world, and the influence we can have there can change the film culture around the world.
