IRVINE, Calif. - Californer -- Kahana Feld is pleased to announce that Brian Maxwell has joined the firm as its first Chief People Officer, marking an important milestone in the continued expansion of the firm's executive leadership team.
In this newly created role, Maxwell will oversee aspects of talent strategy and organizational culture across the firm's offices nationwide. Working closely with firm leadership, he will lead initiatives focused on recruiting, retaining, and developing top talent, enhancing employee relations, and supporting a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace.
Maxwell has more than 25 years of comprehensive human resources experience at one of the world's largest professional services organizations. During his tenure, he led a global effort to support advancement of women into leadership positions, providing actionable steps to address barriers. He also served as a coach and mentor for leadership training programs, and he sponsored the implementation of a global applicant tracking system and video interviewing technology. Maxwell takes a creative, data-driven approach to building a culture aligned with HR strategy and evolving business objectives.

Kahana Feld's appointment of its first Chief People Officer follows a series of important leadership expansions designed to support the firm's national growth and operational excellence. In the last two years, the firm brought on Chief Operating Officer Rina Hunter and Chief Information Officer David Fox. They join the firm from leadership roles at premier BigLaw firms and have been tapped to enhance innovation and implement refined processes designed to strategically grow the firm.
Kahana Feld also created new roles dedicated to legal operations and professional development, adding Practice Group Manager Christian von Wupperfeld and Firmwide Training and Development Attorney Christie Johns to the executive leadership team, and promoting People Operations Manager Camree Ball to Senior Manager. The firm continues to focus on developing strong internal infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of its clients and professionals.
