NEW ORLEANS - Californer -- An event entirely unprecedented for the region and, in both scope and concept, unique at the national level: in July 2026, Peccioli will be filled with music and sound, opening a symbolic and cultural bridge with New Orleans. Not simply a music festival, but an immersive experience bringing to the heart of Tuscany the music, tradition, and magic of the city where jazz was born.
With Jazz Peccioli 2026, the Tuscan hilltop town will transform for several days into an international crossroads of sounds, cultures, and artistic expression. Streets, piazzas, and theaters will host concerts, parades, and pop-up performances, recreating the vibrant atmosphere of Louisiana—featuring brass bands, second line traditions, African American roots, and contemporary innovation.
More on The Californer
The festival stems from the official Sister Cities partnership between the Municipality of Peccioli and the City of New Orleans signed on September 26, 2025, by the Mayor of Peccioli and Mayor LaToya Cantrell. This institutional agreement marked the beginning of a stable collaboration in the fields of culture, education, and tourism, transforming dialogue between the two communities into a concrete international exchange project. Jazz Peccioli represents the first major initiative fully implementing that agreement, building a lasting bridge between Tuscany and the United States.
Co-founded by Grammy Award-winning artist Adonis Rose, together with the municipal administration, the festival will feature Rose himself alongside the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, joined by internationally acclaimed artists including Andromeda Turre, Sean Ardoin, Sabine McCalla, and Phillip Manuel.

Daily parades by the LSU Brass Band will energize the historic center with the unmistakable spirit of the second line tradition, led by a Baby Doll Grand Marshal in tribute to the century-old African American Carnival heritage.
The artistic program will also include Alexey Marti, the Jesse McBride Trio, and Amina Scott— representing Afro-Caribbean influences, intergenerational musical mentorship, and the evolving trajectories of contemporary jazz. In addition to performances, educational workshops for local students will explore the history and evolution of New Orleans music, offering direct engagement with the artists.
Jazz Peccioli 2026 is not merely a music festival: it is a project of active cultural diplomacy, a platform for artistic collaboration and economic growth, and an opportunity to enhance the territory through an authentic dialogue with the city that gave birth to jazz. For a few days, Peccioli will not simply host New Orleans—it will become its voice, its rhythm, and its energy.
