Long Beach, CA ~ Long Beach, CA - The Los Angeles Organizing Committee for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, also known as LA28, has released the Paralympic competition schedule for the upcoming games. The schedule outlines when each medal event will take place during the Paralympic Games in Los Angeles.
The city of Long Beach is set to host seven Paralympic sporting events, with a total of 72 ticketed sessions taking place over 12 of the 14 days of the games. This includes 30 final sessions, making it an exciting and action-packed experience for attendees.
Mayor Rex Richardson expressed his excitement for Long Beach to be a part of such a global event. "Long Beach has long been a stage for global moments, and in summer 2028 our city is ready to add to that legacy by delivering an unforgettable Paralympic Games experience," he said. "Seven sporting events, including the historic Paralympic Games debut of Para Climbing, will play out against the backdrop of our iconic coastline, and the spirit of Long Beach will be on full display."

The seven Paralympic sporting events taking place in Long Beach are Shooting Para Sport at Long Beach Target Shooting Hall from August 16-24, Para Swimming at Long Beach Aquatics Center from August 17-26, Sitting Volleyball at Long Beach Arena from August 17-27, Para Rowing at Marine Stadium from August 18-20, Blind Football (Soccer) at Alamitos Beach Stadium from August 20-27, Para Canoe at Marine Stadium from August 24-26, and Para Climbing at Long Beach Climbing Theater from August 24-27.
One notable addition to the Paralympic sports program is Para Climbing, which will make its debut during the games in Long Beach. This marks the first time an organizing committee has added a sport to the Paralympic program.
The complete competition schedule for the 2028 Paralympic Games can be found on the official LA28 website. The games, hosted by the City of Los Angeles, will take place from August 15-27, 2028. The Olympic Games will take place from July 14-30, 2028, with Long Beach hosting 11 sporting events and 159 ticketed sessions.
