ORANGE COUNTY, Calif. - Californer -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Orange County Partner Marcus A. Bagley (https://www.swlaw.com/people/marcus_bagley/) has been elected to the KidWorks Community Development Corporation (https://kidworksoc.org/) Board of Directors. Founded in 1993, KidWorks is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring under-resourced neighborhoods in central Santa Ana, California. KidWorks staff and volunteers build on the strengths and potential of children, youth, and families living in the community by providing year-round educational support, health and fitness programs, spiritual and leadership development activities, and more.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, KidWorks offers holistic programming focused on personal and spiritual development, leadership training, college readiness and academic support that begin with preschoolers and follow youth into their college years. KidWorks' main building, the Dan Donahue Center, offers a state-licensed preschool. In total, KidWorks operates four centers that have become safe havens in often high-crime, low-income, and overlooked residential areas. KidWorks serves nearly 800 children, youth, and parents weekly and reaches over 4,000 community members annually.
